MBA Open Lecture with Mario F. Leone

On Jul 28th Professor Mario Leone from Chapman University presented a pragmatic framework to product and process innovation in digital times. Professor Leone  is our visiting senior lecturer of the MBA course: Strategic Management. His business experience living in the U.S. and abroad has matured over more than three decades in some of the world's largest multinationals as an executive at Dow Chemical, Polimeri Europa, FIAT,  Federal-Mogul and Ingram Micro. Today beyond his passion for teaching, he is an active Board member of several California based technology start-ups and is an operating partner in a private equity based consortium.

During his lecture, Professor Leone deliberated on three forms of digital transformation within firms today. The first Product innovation within a classic and entrepreneurial  environment to increase new product opportunities,a second defined around the Customer  Experience  leveraging  business analytics particularly in the commerce companies to personalize the customer experience and a third area associated with technology enabled transformations that lead to step change cost basis improvement in customer and partner business process integrations. The lecturer described how the principles of  digital design, paradigm breaking thought leadership are fundamental to delivering value at every level of a business.

The class and audience were engaging in the dialogue and Q&A bringing their own experiences and perspective to the lecture that were used to shape the opportunities for their own career growth.
