MBA Open Lecture: 3D Printing, Industry Disruptor or Distraction?

On Monday, October 1st, Anglo-American University’s School of Business Administration invites all those interested to the next MBA Open lecture; “3D Printing, Industry Disruptor or Distraction?” The topic will be addressed by Chapman MBA lecturer of Operations and Technology Management, Mr. Milan Slapak, PhD.

Industrial 3D printers are no longer just toys for the schools and research institutes. The state-of-the-art printers are about to take the industrial world by a storm … will the machines wipe out those who would not be well prepared? Is it a real game changer or will it burst like a bubble? The Additive Manufacturing technology has been changing the way the design engineers think and work and the early adopters have been proactively integrating the 3D print into its global supply chains and service business models. What‘s the recipe for the success then? Come and hear the underlying benefits and challenges of Additive technology and listed to the best practices relevant to the aviation industry.

The lecturer, Mr. Milan Slapak has 20 years of extensive business experience in strategic management. Mr. Slapak currently works as President at General Electric CR & SK driving long-term prosperity and growth of GE in the region. Mr. Slapak also holds a position of the Program Country Director at GE Aviation in the Czech Republic building a new GE Turboprop business in the Czech Republic: Turboprop headquarter, Engineering Center and Production site for a brand new ATP engine. He is providing a liaison to the Government and to GE business partners supporting & executing ATP program locally. Mr. Slapak also holds the post of Vice-President at Aviation Confederation of the Czech Aviation Industry.
